Campania Gastronomia
Campania's owners - Emma and Benito - live on Columbia Road and are from the Campanian region.
Naples is the capital of the province and the region runs from the city, taking in Capri on the Mediterranean, and extends to Avellino and Benevento in the mountains and countryside. The deli and shop sell products from the area. Our coffee is Neapolitan and is made by a barista from the region who has been making coffee all his life.
The concept behind our food is fresh ingredients, cooked daily. The dishes are typical of the food peasants and fisherman prepare and cook every day. Campanian food is generally spicier than food from the North of Italy.
Typical dishes include Coniglio alla Cacciatore (Spicy Hunter's Rabbit), San Michele Lasagna (Traditional mountain peasant Lasagna contaning eggs as well as meat) and home made Neapoitan pizza.
Food is prepared daily and is hot at around lunchtime. We insist on no reheating, or microwaves.
