Travelling to Columbia Road Flower Market on Sundays

 You can arrive by foot, there are plenty of walks that lead through the city to the West, along the canals to the north,  Victoria Park and Broadway Market to the East and from the river in the South.

You can equally arrive by bike. Lock your bike up well, there is free bike parking at Mulberry School, Gosset Street, E26NW from 8am to 4pm on a Sunday. This area is manned and gated.

If you are driving to Columbia Road there is one hour’s free parking at the parking meter from February 2023. The price at the meters £5.30 per hour for a petrol car and £7.95 per hour for a diesel car. There is no longer parking at Mulberry School on Gossett Street.

You can arrive by London Overground.

Hoxton Station – turn right out of the station and then left walking south down Cremer Street, you will cross at Hackney Road, almost directly opposite you is Diss Street, walk to the bottom of Diss Street and turned left towards Ravenscroft Park and past an orange building. The market is to your right across the park. It is about a 7 minute walk away.

 

Shoreditch Station – turn left out of Shoreditch Station and turn right and cross Bethnal Green Road. Turn left up Club Row and walk until you come to Arnold Circus go across and walk down Hocker Street. Turn right down Virginia Road follow the road to the left. Columbia Road will be in front of you. If you turn right you are 1 minute from the market. It’s about a 10 mins walk.

 

No. 26 & 55 Buses (from the West)– The 26 from the South Bank via Liverpool Street  & the 55 from Oxford Street both stop outside the Coop on Hackney Road. Cross Hackney Road and walk down Horatio Street passed the Nelson Head, there is a small alley that leads to Ezra Street and the market will be in front of you. Its about a 3 minute walk.

 

No. 26 & 55 Buses from the (East) 26 and 55 come from Leytonstone and Walthamstow stop outside the Coop. Come out of the bus and turn left, pass the Sainsburys and the Coop then right down Horatio Street, passed the Nelson’s Head and in front of you will be a small alley that leads to Ezra Street. The market will be in front of you. Its about a 3 minute walk.

 

No. 8 & 388 buses from Central London, get off at Barnet Grove stop SC,  Turn left up onto Turin Street walking north, turn left onto Gosset Street, the road will bend to the right. The Bird Cage pub will be ahead of you as will Columbia Road Flower Market. Its about a 7 minute walk

No. 8  bus & 388 buses from East London get off at the Barnet Grove stop SD, cross Bethnal Green Road. Turn left up onto Turin Street walking north, turn left onto Gosset Street, the road will bend to the right. The Bird Cage pub will be ahead of you as will Columbia Road Flower Market. Its about a 7 minute walk.

 

 Underground

Bethnal Green Overground – Central Line takes about a 20 minute walk, walk down Bethnal Green Road,  and turn right at Turin Street, cross Gosset Street and follow the road round to the right Columbia Road Market will be in front off you.

Old Street Underground – Northern Line is about a 20 minute walk. Walk down Old Street heading East until you pass under a railway bridge, crossing the Kingsland Road and pass Shoreditch Church – the crypt was the inspiration for Romeo and Juliette. Columbia Road will be on your right. It is about another 5 minute walk down Columbia Road to the Flower Market.
